Digital and Data Strategy 2025-2029

Introduction from our Director of IT Services

UON IT Director Alex VujcichAt the University of Northampton, we believe that digital and data should serve and strengthen everything we do, from teaching and research, to how we work together and support our community.

Our Digital and Data Strategy 2025–2029 sets out a confident, forward-looking vision for a University that is more connected, agile, and insight-driven. This strategy is rooted in the experiences and ambitions of our staff and students, and was shaped through meaningful consultation across the University. It focuses on six clear strategic priorities that support the ‘How we work’ commitment of the overall strategy. These priorities are grounded in our shared values of trust, sustainability, inclusivity and aspiration.

We have already made significant progress in strengthening our digital foundations and services. Now we are ready to go further, creating a more seamless digital experience, unlocking better decision-making, and enabling innovation in how we teach, learn and work.

Although this strategy will be delivered by a variety of teams across the University, I am proud to lead the talented IT department who will help to support this strategy. Their energy, expertise and dedication will be central to its success.

This is an exciting next chapter in our journey, and I look forward to the impact this work will have on our University community.
